  1. I love the events they host. They bring in educators from all backgrounds, have them learn from each other by facilitating conversations and group projects. They make attendees feel appreciated and also make them feel like they make a difference. I’ve been part of this group since 2005 and it’s helped me grow professionally and see other ideas for teaching that I would have never been exposed to.

Our Miami- Dade Public Schools Day of Discovery was fantastic! I was really happy one of our teachers won the Mythbusters stand up picture. Several of our students asked to have their picture taken with it, and I will use it to promote Science in the Library this year!

I am so impressed with the professional in-services and webinars DE offers. The web site itself offers the ultimate,up-to-date lesson planning ideas. Their staff is always there to lend a hand. As a new DEN Star, I am excited about sharing with my fellow educators from all over the world.

The DEN is a family of incredible educators! Their amazing PD has been shaping how I teach since 2006. If you have never experienced the DEN in action and your district has any Discovery products then you are missing out….check out the DEN and become a DEN STAR! You won’t regret it!

I love everything that I have experienced with DE. The webinars, Day of Discovery, and regional conferences are fantastic. They offer training and continued guidance for their products. I use DE daily and cannot imagine not having it as one of my most precious resources. Right now I am in the Rising Star program and am learning so much. DE is like a bottomless pit; there is so much to do and put into practice, and that is a good thing.

  5. One of the first networks for educators and a fantastic one, too! The connecting opportunities grow every year and I have learned so much from the formal activities provided by Discovery Education and the informal relationships built with other DENers! DEN rocks! :)

The DEN is amazing! I have had the pleasure of learning and growing in the DEN since the beginning and the wealth of knowledge shared by this group is tremendous! The connections, resources, and people who work and play in the DEN are top notch! This is one of the best learning communities out there for teachers. If your county has any Discovery Education products, I recommend joining the DEN, but hold on to your hat and prepare for the ride of your life!
