Supporting teachers and school administrators since 1996, this huge site features almost 200 “chatboard” forums: one for every grade level, curriculum area, teaching specialty, for projects and virtually all areas of interest to professional educators. There is a chatboard for every U.S. state, UK, Canada, Australia/New Zealand and Teachers Abroad. The sprawling site includes more than 4700 lesson plans in searchable database as well as the very popular, monthly Teachers.Net Gazette webzine written by and for teachers, headlined by a monthly column, Effective Teaching by Harry K. and Rosemary Wong. There are even free classifieds for teaching-related materials and services. In the Career Center, teachers can post their resumes online and browse teaching jobs – both at no charge. School districts can post current openings for a small fee. Teachers.Net also offers close to 200 vibrant mailring groups for every grade level and curriculum area. Teachers.Net is THE original peer support network for teachers who work with infants through college. Twitter followers: 25,500 and growing.
